Bending Machines

STEP-based tube bending and prefabrication

Using Transfluid mandrel, tube bending machines together with the Transfluid tProject software, Ekke Hydraulics can provide STEP-based tube bending and prefabrication services for offshore, marine and industrial applications.

We can import customer supplied STEP files directly into the bending software, simulate the bending process before production and verify tube geometry before manufacturing.

If required, tube routing and geometry can be adjusted before production to improve manufacturability and installation fit-up. Updated tube drawings can then be returned as STEP files for verification directly in the customer’s 3D model.

Bending simulations can also be supported by reports showing bend feasibility and possible collision areas before production starts.

This also allows tube prefabrication to start before the equipment or structure is fully assembled, helping reduce installation and commissioning time onsite and shortening overall project execution time.

Our STEP-based production currently covers:
  • tube sizes from 12–42 mm and 1/4″–1 1/2″,
  • bending lengths up to 6 meters,
  • including tight 2D bending radii.
Using mandrel tube bending technology allows the tube to maintain its shape and wall stability even at small bending radii and complex geometries.

±1 mm per bend in linear dimensions,

  • ±1 mm per bend in linear dimensions,
  • and ±0.1° per bend in bending angle accuracy.

Tubes can also be supplied with QR-code identification labels linked to project documentation as part of a structured tube management system.

Using Transfluid technology also allows cleaner routing, fewer fittings and reduced installation time onsite.
